hi,

i just posted a new song from our record we've been working on for lots and lots of days. it is called "take me home". give it a listen. i wrote it about hating L.A. very often i hate it here. sometimes its nice though. like when you stand on the roof during sunset and the air doesn't smell like hot dog mixed with poopie and smog. or when i can get through the day without someone honking and flipping me off for crossing the street legally.
you can say nice things about the song, and maybe even things that i won't think are nice but are honest. i don't mind you being honest. everyone likes honesty. just don't say anything messed up about my mom. my mom is cool. don't make me come over there and give you a devastating wedgie. i'll do it.

i drink a great deal of bloody marys. i try to rationalize my sodium and vodka intake with how much lycopene i'm sucking down from the tomatoes. all bullshit though, cause drinking is bad!!! don't do it. due to my bloody mary obsession i get to see a variety of green olives.
nine times out of ten they're pure salt; ancient from a gigantic economy size "restaurant quality" preservative filled mason jar and act as an extremely cheap generic garnish.

they taste awful - and yet i always end up taking a nibble of just one. i have one question though - what's the deal with pimentos? what's the deal with putting a slimy red processed folded rectangular thingy in between my olive? how come it doesn't look anything like this?

do i really need it in my olive to begin with? let's start garnishing drinks with unpitted green olives, or untreated kalamatas, or how about stuffed with almonds or blue cheese? then i'd really up the disgusting in my drink so no one borrows sips (cause its yummy for me)!!

at the mgm grand in las vegas!!!! my fourth favorite band, but prolly the only band that's made me cry in a long time. i like crying at concerts. andy summers looks the grandpa I never had and has been soloing on a red strat for about six minutes and killing it. copeland has on white golfer gloves, a white headband and very large bifocal looking glasses. sting looks like sean connery cause he has a beard, sings perfectly, talks a lot, especially about sex (but not of the tantric kind) and is playing don't stand so close to me right now. his bass looks like it was in bathwater for ten years and taken out just for me tonight. there's a hole, in my life!!!

i just watched the final series episode of star trek next gen and i had mixed feelings about it. at first i thought it was unnecessarily long, confusing and the most running-in-circles episode yet - picard travels through the past, present and future and mingles/figures out life with old versions of jordy, and worf and his EX WIFE (scandal!!!) dr. crusher-picard and i'm like, wtf? and sarey's all, "yo, this is the last episode dummy" and i'm like, "oh shit that makes sense, now this whole thing is very touching." and that was that.

do you ever go to sleep and suddenly get woken up by a very loud heilcopter shooting beams of light seemingly close to yr studio apartment window and sit up hyperventilating in fear? well....i do.... that shit happens twice a week. don't worry, they're looking for hoodlems in that local aztlan13 gang, not you, you paranoid geek.

i feel like i sort of live at the wiltern theatre these days....

oh right.......so.....

were moving out of brickhouse in a couple of days...back to greg's good old baby bulldog studios, which is where we recorded 90% of "best stop pop." sweet! greg's come up with some clever studio remedies/practices for fridays' specifically; hopefully some hilairous videos will come of that.

ok. I gotta watch this hilarious documentary with bearded willie nelson lookin' hippies reflecting on buddism. crocheted ying yangs decorate the walls. josh says their teeth are black from smoking opium...lol....

a really neat thing about my friend sarey martin is that she really really really likes star trek. as a kid i myself grew up on star trek the next generation. my family and i would eat spaghetti at seven pm every sunday, never failed, so we could fall in love with picard and ryker and company over and over. meeting her was fantastic because she's simply obsessed as she had the same expierence as a child and she brought back many memories. she's very hardcore however; could definetly be considered a trekkie, but a hipster trekkie. like, the sexiest woman of all time to ever attend a star trek convention. i sort of forgot about the series over time but she has dvd collections and ryker yo-yos and action figures and knows way too much about starfleet and the final frontier and nemoy and the message of teamwork, acceptance and morality that gene roddenberry tried to express through the future. and so yay star trek as we watch our fourth episode of season seven.
